Leyna Bloom

Leyna Bloom is an American actress, model, dancer, and activist of Filipina and African American Creole heritage whose groundbreaking career has redefined beauty and representation. Rising from humble beginnings in Chicago and overcoming homelessness in New York City, she became the first openly transgender model of color to achieve top-level success in fashion. Bloom made history in 2019 as the first trans woman to lead a film at Cannes with Port Authority and later appeared in FX’s Pose, drawing from her real-life ballroom experience. In 2021, she broke another barrier as the first trans woman on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
